  • Clinical data of over 900 patients treated with all the different types of the AMALIAN dermal implants reveal that the products with all its types are clinically safe and significantly effective in the correction of volume losses or defects related to disease or age in facial skin in its intended use. Post-market-follow-up studies have confirmed these positive results. All final products bear the same material composition, stem from the same raw material and differ mainly in HA concentrations.

    For AMALIAN SF line there is a proven record of clinical data from over 200 treatments which have shown significant effectiveness and excellent long-term safety for all products of the AMALIAN SF line.

    • On a five-point scale, the degree of improvement from the baseline value was recorded directly after treatment, 2-3 weeks after treatment as well as 3, 6 and 12 months after treatment. Improvement by at least 1 scale point was maintained for 6 months, whereby even after 12 months, the base line value did not return. Excellent safety of each AMALIAN SF product was evident as no product related or severe adverse reactions occurred. There were no lumps, inflammations, nodules or late on-set reactions. Only mild to moderate injection related, short-term side-effects with a mean duration of less than 3 days occurred.
    • Treatment with the AMALIAN SF 24 advanced showed significant improvement compared to baseline even after 9 months (P value ‹ 0.00001). All AMALIAN SF products resulted in treatments with responder rates of at least 75% at month 6-7. Patient and physician satisfaction were monitored using the Global Aesthetics Scale (GAIS) on a scale of -1 to 3. Directly after treatment, both patients and physicians reported the appearance of area treated as highly to very highly improved: 2.52 and 2.46, respectively.
